Approximately 100 people gathered today at the Downtown Plaza in Springfield, OH to show their support for the expansion of Medicaid. Speakers included Dr. Kent Youngman, CEO of the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Clark, Greene and Madison Counties; Clark County Sheriff Gene Kelly; Dr. James Perry, CEO of Mental Health Services for Clark and Madison Counties; Michael Wallace, Clinical Director of McKinley Hall and others.

The Mental Health & Recovery Board graduated peace officers at the seventh annual, 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training for law enforcement August 27 – 31 at the new Criminal Justice Academy, Greene County Career Center, 2960 West Enon Road.
CIT is a best practice for safe responding to crisis situations involving people with mental illness. Officers receive intensive instruction and practice led by family members, mental health professionals, and fellow officers.

On Monday evening June 18, Dr. Kent Youngman, CEO of the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Clark, Greene and Madison Counties, presided over the annual awards event Recognizing Exceptional People. The Board recognizes Greene County partner agency employees who make significant contributions to mental health and alcohol/drug services.
