LEVY FACT SHEET

Election Date: November 3, 2009    

The Mental Health Levy is on all Madison County ballots

Important NO INCREASE!  This is a 0.5 mil renewal levy. It will not increase your taxes.
        
Madison County levy dollars are spent only on Madison County residents

The cost is the same  $12.65 for the owner of a $100,000 home.  This is just over $1 a month.

This levy will allow us to continue to support families with mental health and alcohol/drug problems

Any decrease in funding will result in a decrease in services for people with mental health and alcohol/drug problems                    

State of Ohio funding has been cut by 35%.  Failure of the levy will result in an additional 16% cut with further reduction of services.                                

Every dollar lost curtails services to Madison County residents with mental health and alcohol/drug problems  

Some of the service made available through the Madison County Mental Health Levy:

Crisis response services	Strengthening Families Program
Suicide prevention Collaborative Service Coordination	Incredible Years Program
Psychiatric evaluation Treatment for Court Referrals	Mental Health & Alcohol/Drug Counseling for Youth, Adults,and Families
